I've recently written about two electric fireplaces, especially since we're heading into winter and I'd like to start recommending products that can make our homes more comfortable. That includes electric fireplaces, as they can help make the cold weather feel a little less uncomfortable indoors.
This time, I want to talk about the Touchstone Sideline recessed electric fireplace. Unlike freestanding models, this one is designed to be installed in a wall, which can be an interesting option if you want to incorporate a fireplace into your home decor without having a stove taking up space in the room.

One of the main features of this fireplace is that it includes decorative logs and crystals to complement the flame effect. You can also adjust the flame color and brightness using the remote control, giving you several options to match its appearance to your room. All of this lets you enjoy the look of a fireplace without having to burn real wood.
Of course, it's also designed to provide heat. The Touchstone Sideline has two heat settings, 750W and 1,500W, and delivers up to 5,000 BTUs of heat. This allows you to choose between the two settings depending on your needs, although its ability to warm a space will also depend on the room's size and insulation.
You can plug it into an electrical outlet or opt for a hardwired installation. It also features front-facing vents, allowing you to install it below a flat-screen TV while maintaining the minimum clearance of approximately 8 inches recommended by the manufacturer.
