I have previously written a few articles about tools that can really help you lose weight and improve your cardiovascular health from home. And, of course, one of them is the treadmill, which is one of the best ways to replace outdoor workouts. So, if you are interested in getting one to start improving your health, one of our recommendations is the Rayspace treadmill.

If you are interested in getting one, keep reading because below I will show you some of its main features, along with a few tips to help you get better results, especially if you are a beginner.

Features of the Rayspace treadmill

Adjustable speed

If you are a beginner, you clearly don't want to run like Usain Bolt. Nobody does that when they are just starting out. So, to help you improve your endurance over time, the Rayspace treadmill allows you to adjust the speed from a minimum of 0.6 mph (1 km/h) to a maximum of 6.0 mph (9.6 km/h). This means you can start by walking at a low speed, gradually increase the pace until you can jog, and eventually work your way up to running close to the maximum speed.

Adjustable incline

In addition to adjusting the speed, you can also adjust the incline, which is a great way to increase the difficulty and make your body work harder. However, I don't think this is recommended for beginners. Still, it's great to have this option because once you build up more physical endurance, you can try using the incline to increase the benefits of your workouts, especially when it comes to improving cardiovascular endurance.

You may sometimes get tired just from trying to jog for a little while. That was exactly what happened to me before. So, when you start incorporating this type of exercise into your routine, it's only a matter of time before you are impressed by the difference you can achieve after just a few weeks of training.

Built-in LED display

To keep track of your progress and see how you improve over time, this Rayspace treadmill features a small LED display that shows important information such as your workout time and current speed. Remember that you don't need to start at the maximum speed. Just improve your performance gradually, and the results will come with time.

How many calories can you burn with the Rayspace treadmill?

It varies somewhat depending on your current fitness level, but if you weigh between 70 and 80 kg (154-176 lbs) and walk at 4 mph (6.4 km/h) for one hour, you can burn approximately 270 to 310 calories. On the other hand, if you weigh around 95 kg (209 lbs), you could burn about 370 calories in the same amount of time.

In addition, calorie burn can increase significantly when you use a higher incline. Incline training is also a great way to prepare for hiking because it simulates uphill terrain, which is usually much more tiring than simply walking or jogging on flat ground.

The more you weigh, the more calories you can burn, which is one of the advantages of using a treadmill. It allows you to increase your calorie expenditure and, therefore, potentially accelerate weight loss, as long as it is combined with a proper diet.
